Vikas Sethi, kwn for his roles in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, died due to cardiac arrest in Nashik, confirms his wife Jhanvi Sethi. His wife told PTI that actor was keeping unwell and he died due to cardiac arrest on Saturday night in his sleep. His last rites will take place today, September 9 in Mumbai.

She told PTI that y were in Nashik when incident happened. y were in city to attend a family function. actor was vomiting and h loose motions. Despite his deteriorating health, he didn't want to visit hospital. “After we reached my mor's house in Nashik, he h vomiting and loose motions. He didn't want to go to hospital so we asked doctor to come home. When I went to wake him up at around 6 am in morning (on Sunday), he was more. doctor re told us he passed away last night (on Saturday) in his sleep due to cardiac arrest,” she told PTI.

Vikas' mortal remains have been sent for post-mortem to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai, shared Jhnavi.

Jhanvi took to her Instagram handle to inform Vikas' fans about actor's demise. She shared a post that res, "In loving memory of Vikas Sethi. With immense sorrow, we inform you about passing of our beloved Vikas Sethi, who left us all on 8th of September 2024." She furr informed that final rites of actor will be carried out according to Hindu tritions on September 9. She signed off te by writing, "Your presence, prayers and support in this trying time would be deeply appreciated. Regards Sethi Family."

actor began his career with an ult film Oops and went on to play supporting roles in several hit TV shows and Bollywood films. His table TV appearances include Kahiin To Hoga, as Swayam Shergill and in Indian soap opera Kasautii Zindagi Kay, where he plays role of Prem Basu. He has appeared in reality-based show Nach Baliye 4, with his n-wife, Amita. Apart from TV, he has also appeared in Bollywood movies, including Deewaanapan and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He was last seen in Telugu action drama iSmart Shankar (2019), starring Ram Pothineni in le role.
