Vir Das' neighbour 'sneezed' on him and threatened to hit him in an ugly spat late on Monday. Celebrities were furious and demanded that Vir takes action.

Vir Das had a harrowing experience with his ‘Lockdown Neighbour’ late on Sunday. actor-comedian took to social media to share his ordeal when a 73-year-old man ‘harassed’ him. worst bit was that man even blew air on Vir and threatened to hit him.

Vir Das shared that he had come out of his home in Mumbai to share food with ar neighbour, and was waiting outside when food was being prepared. Hamsukh star claimed that’s when this man started screaming at him.
In video, man can be heard asking Vir to go inside his home and wear a mask. When Vir said that it was his house and that he was standing inside, man pulls his mask down to ‘sneeze’ at him, amid current COVID-19 pandemic. Vir, however, kept his cool and said, “Please stay six feet away from me.”

man also said that he was born in house where Vir was living and that his late parents will 'haunt' him. He also kept stating that it was his 'land.' man even charged at him and said , “Don’t laugh, I’ll give you one bloody slap.”

Numerous celebrities came out in Vir's support and even urged him to sue man, get a ‘restraining order’ or an ‘official censure’. y also praised comedian for keeping his cool.

In a statement, Vir Das clarified that man was t his landlord, but was unhappy about his landlord taking ownership of flat, where man and his parents had lived before.

Mastizaade star added that he usually refrained from posting such matters in public, but this ‘harassment’ was going on for eight months w. He claimed that even his wife has also been at receiving end.
Vir stated that man had gone to media over this issue, while Vir and or society members have also sent legal tice to him. After recording similar videos in past and threatening that he’d post it, it was first time, he posted it, as he was ‘really angry.’

With his trademark wit, he quipped that humans or ‘ghosts’ haunted him last night. He apologised for posting his 'personal drama’ on social media.
