Vivek Agnihotri's next project The Vaccine War is inching towards its release. The bio-science film will be sharing the story of India coming up with its own vaccine amid the trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ahead of the film's release, the director recently opened up about how the film is going a long way in changing the international arena's perspective on Indian scientists.

Vivek Agnihotri and wife Pallavi Joshi have hosted screenings of The Vaccine War extensively across the United States in the past month. Vivek recently shared how the screenings were attended by scientists from a vast array of organisations and institutes. The Kashmir Files director further went on to elaborate how the reaction to the film was one of utter disbelief at India's ability to come out on top against all odds.

He said, "Scientists from other organisations and institutes came to see films and we have their interviews as well. Everybody said it is impossible how India did it. Nobody, even the top scientists don’t believe. That is the advantage of being an Indian. That is the beauty of India - that when we are in crisis we go out of our way to achieve things."
Pallavi Joshi clarifies the context of The Vaccine War
Pallavi Joshi in a recent interview clarified, how The Vaccine War is not a "dark" film despite the COVID-19 pandemic being a theme in it. Pallavi, who not only stars in the film but has also co-produced it, further shared how the film essentially celebrates the great strides made by India in such trying times.

She said, "A lot of people are confused...But this film is not based on Covid. We are only talking about how the vaccine was made and the problems faced during that time. This is not a dark film in any sense...It is a very positive film that celebrates our success. The audience will be filled with pride when they leave the theatres after watching it...We have proved that India can do it."
