FIR against Vivek Oberoi was registered under IPC Sections 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and269 (Negligent act likely to spre infection of disease dangerous to life) as well as provisions of Maharashtra COVID -19 Precautionary Measures 2020 and Motor Vehicles Act. Sections 188 and 269 provisions direct punishment of offenders to six months in jail or fine or both.
