The Tamil and Telugu versions of War saw a dip due to the clash with Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The Telugu period drama also earned about ₹ 2 crores on its first day. War is the third-highest opening film in India behind Baahubali 2 and Avengers: Endgame. War has also beaten the record held by Aamir Khan’s Thugs Of Hindostan. It seems that War could have reached the ₹ 55 crores mark if it was not for the previous week’s releases including Hollywood's Joker and Sye Raa Narsimha Reddy.
