WATCH | Ranveer Singh-Anil Kapoor’s impromptu jig on the ramp as ‘Takht’ trio comes together; Tahira Kashyap makes statement; other stars shine

Day 4 of the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2019 brought out some big names as they flashed their stylish avatars on the ramp and off it.

One of the highlights of the evening was during uncle-niece duo Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor’s appearance for Raghavendra Rathore. The former looked stylish as ever in a black kurta-pyjama while the actress also complemented his look in an ensemble of a black textured jacket and embellished skirt with frills at the bottom.  

The interesting bit was that Ranveer Singh was seated in the audience, in his usual quirky avatar, consisting of a colourful shirt and shiny maroon pants, apart from shades and spiked hair.  

The actor was seen standing and cheering for his ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ co-star Anil when he was midway into his walk. The duo embraces each other tightly before the showstopper completes his walk.  

Later, after the showstoppers and the designer posed, Anil was keen to include Ranveer in the team and goes back to bring him. The duo even showcased a lovely jig, all of which is uncommon on the ramp, but fun nevertheless.   

Ranveer also posed with Janhvi after she asks if she could join in and he replied in Hindi, “Come, who can stop you?” 

The trio is set to star in Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’, and it only increases our anticipation for the same.   

Another member of the cast of the movie, Bhumi Pednekar was also present wearing a strapless top and brown baggy pants for designer Nikhil Thampi, along with her mother and sister.

Tahira Kashyap, filmmaker and wife of Ayushmann Khurrana, made a statement, with her confident all-white appearance for a sports brand. Her positive attitude as she undergoes chemotherapy for breast cancer has been applauded, and this appearance gives us further reason to do so. 

Kangana Ranaut took her ‘Queen’ status further ahead with her appearance in a shimmery, metallic lehenga for Anushree Reddy. 

Malaika Arora Khan looked stunning in a backless grey embellished mermaid gown designed by Manoj Aggarwal. 

Saina Nehwal’s off-the-court look was beautiful as she confidently flaunted a yellow lehenga choli for Chennai-based designer Vaani Raghupathy.

Vaani Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Daisy Shah, Chitrangda Singh, Shibani Dandekar, Urvashi Rautela, Kalki Koechlin and Jim Sarbh, were among the others who were in the spotlight for their appearances on the ramp.
