From ‘Arjun Reddy’ to ‘Kabir Singh’, the protagonist of director Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s films has gone directly from South to North. It was earlier this week that the Shahid Kapoor-starrer stopped being the ‘Arjun Reddy’ remake, and became ‘Kabir Singh’ instead. And now the ‘remake’ got best wishes from the ‘original’ Vijay Deverakonda.

As the ‘R... Rajkumar’ star tweeted the first poster of the venture to announce the new title, the Telugu actor also conveyed his good wishes to the former by calling himself ‘Arjun Reddy’ and wishing 'Kabir Singh' the best. The actor also wished his former director Reddy 'more power.’
Shahid seems to have been extremely impressed by the 'NOTA' actor's performance in the movie and called his act ‘inspiring', adding that he will always be the ‘original’.

Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Kabir Singh’ also stars Kiara Advani and marks the second collaboration between the two actors. They had recently steamed it up in another South remake, of Prabudeva and A R Rahman’s hit track ‘Urvashi’, in Yo Yo Honey Singh's recreation. Apart from ‘Kabir Singh’, Shahid will also be seen in ‘Airlift’ director Raja Krishna Menon’s next on boxer Dingko Singh. Meanwhile, Kiara has been confirmed for the movie ‘Good News’ which also stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
