A biopic on Kishore Kumar seems long overdue to many of his fans. The first major news that caught headlines regarding the biopic was that of Anurag Basu wanting to team up with Ranbir Kapoor for the project. However, this collaboration never came to fruition. Barfi director Anurag Basu was quoted saying in an interview to a media portal that the script was ready but certain legalities regarding the details of the scripts were pending.

Another media portal in its reports has suggested that a completely new face may be taking up the role. The reports from the portal suggest that singer Adnan Sami has been approached to play the role of Kishore Kumar. A source close to the development of the project shared the information that Adnan Sami had been considered for the role of Kishore Kumar since the Lift Karade singer is also a music composer and has acted previously in a few projects.

Now the latest development regarding the biopic suggests that Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar has plans to make the biopic. Amit Kumar has previously spoken about this topic to a media publication. He said that he and his brother are planning to make their late father’s biopic. However, fans and admirers of Kishore Kumar are still waiting for any official confirmation of the biopic of the late legend.
