Actress Triptii Dimri recently became an overnight sensation after starring in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. She played the part of a mole named Zoya in the life of Ranbir Kapoor’s character Ranvijay Singh. Soon after she became the talk of the town, people were quick to hold conversations about her personal life as well.

Several media reports suggest that Triptii has started dating hotelier Sam Merchant. She was earlier dating Anushka Sharma’s brother Karnesh Sharma. The duo had fallen in love during the shooting of Karnesh’s production Bulbbul and Qala which starred Triptii in the lead.

Triptii’s rumoured boyfriend Sam began his career as a model and won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest in 2002. He later turned to entrepreneurship and launched several beach clubs and hotels in Goa. According to Sam's Instagram account, he founded Water Beach Lounge & Grill, Goa. 

Apart from being a hotelier, Sam is also a travel enthusiast enjoying a massive following of around 250K followers. He is being followed by several celebrities including Triptii herself alongside Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani. He is a high-time social media influencer with his Instagram filled with branded content.

On the work front

Triptii made her foray into films with a small role in Sridevi’s Mom and then in Poster Boys. She made her debut as a lead in Laila Majnu and went on to impress the audiences with her performance in Bulbbul, Qala and now Animal. Despite massive chatter, Triptii’s character was called out as being a ‘damsel in distress’ alongside Rashmika Mandanna’s character. Recently, she defended the criticism and said that people who don’t like a certain type of content should simply not watch it.
