It is natural for one to be nervous to be around Amitabh Bachchan as that’s the aura he has created with his superstardom over the years. For Ayushmann Khurrana, working with the megastar for the first time on Gulabo Sitabo was not the only reason why he was ‘scared’ to face Big B recently. The reason being the Vicky Donor star didn’t attend the grand Diwali bash hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. However, there was a hilarious reason why he was could eventually face him, the ‘Shahenshah’ was in a different get-up.
Who would not attend a party when Amitabh Bachchan invites you, could be a question some fans would have. That was probably why the who’s who of B-Town made an appearance at the recently-held bash at the Bachchan's. However, in a recent interview with a daily, Ayushman revealed that he had to skip the event because he was in Chandigarh at that time. Obviously, the actor was not pleased to miss the event and shared that he was a ‘bit scared’ to meet Amitabh Bachchan on the sets after the bash.
A look of both the actors was recently shared by the makers, where Big B is seen with a heavy beard and loose-fitting attire. But it seems that is not all, the 77-year-old has another look in the movie, that was so well-done that it even foxed Ayushmann. The actor stated that his co-star was not looking like the Amitabh Bachchan he knows, and that even he could not recognise Big B. Strangely, that was what gave him the confidence to meet him on the sets, Ayushmann revealed. Nevertheless, Amitabh Bachcan created magic on Ayushmann after their first-time collaboration as the latter revealed it was a ‘fantastic’ learning experience for him to work with the ‘living legend.’
Memorable collaborations
Gulabo Sitabo brings Ayushmann Khurrana with his first director Shoojit Sircar again. They had worked together first in Vicky Donor, that had catapulted Ayushmann into stardom. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan won the National Award for Best Actor for his role in Shoojit Sircar’s Piku. Big B had only featured in Pink, another National Award-winning film where Sircar was one of the writers and creative producer.
