On October 10, every year, world observes Mental Health Day in order to raise awareness about same. This year, several Bollywood stars and eminent celebrities joined global initiative to dress issue. Joining bandwagon was actress Alia Bhatt who took to social media and cheered for sister Shaheen Bhatt as she launched a special initiative to battle stigma relating to mental illness.

Shaheen Bhatt who has been quite vocal about her poor mental health conditions, penned a long te on Thuesday, sharing her ordeal with depression. She also anunced a special initiative called 'Here Comes Sun' which she revealed aims at encouraging conversations around depression and anxiety. Talking about her prolong struggle with depression in a social media post, Shaheen Bhatt said that she felt it for first time when she was twelve years old. Proud sister Alia Bhatt shared post on Instagram and wrote: "I am so proud of you Shaheen and of Here Comes Sun. You have taken something so personal and me it a symbol of strength and empathy." In her post, Alia talked about how she will extend her support throughout and ded, " one needs to be alone as y struggle with mental health, battling ir own fears and anxiety. World Mental Health Day, which is observed every year on October 10, aims to educate and raise awareness about mental health issues. It also fights social stigma relating to same. As per media reports, World Mental Health Day was first observed in 1992 and was initiated by World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organization with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.
