Trolling has become such a common practice that one finds critical comments galore in most of the celebrity posts. Even the stars are aware of it and turn a blind eye to it most of the times. However, sometimes, they do react when they feel it has gone over the limit, or when they feel it is important to set the record straight. Yami Gautam did so when a troll mocked her for saying that Chandigarh was her hometown. The actor hit back, saying that Himachal Pradesh was her birthplace, Mumbai her workplace and Chandigarh the city she was brought up in. She also added that her work speaks and that the person need not bother over her hometown.

Yami Gautam recently was invited as the brand ambassador of a global investors meet in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, to be held on November 8 and 9. One netizen, however, was not pleased about the actor being introduced in that way, because the Vicky Donor star had recently stated that she was from Chandigarh. The troll, in a sarcastic tone, said that the Himachal Pradesh government had presented Yami Gautam as the brand ambassador of the summit, but she had said on Bigg Boss that she was from Chandigarh.
Here's the post:
“मेरी जन्म-भूमि हिमाचल ..करम-भूमि मुम्बईं ...परवरिष चनडीगड़ की है | शब्दों से ज़्यादा मज़बूत सोच और कार्य पर विश्वास रखती हूँ । तुहाँ निश्चिंत रेहा, मैं आयादि 😊,” she wrote, (My birthplace is Himachal, workplace is Mumbai and Chandigarh is where I grew up. I believe in strength of thought and work over show of words. Don't worry, don't stress).

The comedy is all set to hit the screens on November 8. The plot of the movie revolves around the character of Ayushmann’s character Bala, who suffers from baldness.
