Yudhra Box Office Day 1: Siddhanth Chaturvedi Scores His Career Best Opener On National Cinema Day

Yudhra Box Office Day 1: The action movie headlined by Siddhant Chaturvedi hit the big screens on September 20. The film's release coincided with National Cinema Day, on which all movie ticket prices were slashed to Rs 99. Owing to the low ticket prices, the Gully Boy fame has got his career-best opener.  

Yudhra takes a decent start at the box office 

Yudhra opened to a decent Rs 4.50 crore at the domestic box office. However, the current numbers are early estimates and the actual figures might differ. The film is currently running at a 46.54% overall occupancy.

Before, Yudhra, Siddharth Chaturvedi's previous release failed to open to staggering amounts at the box office. His movie Phone Bhoot opened to Rs 2.05 crore. His next Bunty Aur Babli 2, which was released during the COVID-19 pandemic, raked in Rs 2.60 crore on its opening day.

Siddhant Chaturvedi undergoes martial arts training for Yudhra 

Director Ravi Udyawar shed some light on the exhilarating transformation of actor Siddhant Chaturvedi for his power-packed-thriller Yudhra. Udyawar also revealed that Siddhant underwent hefty training in martial arts for the role. "Yes, he was doing a lot of things. He is a hardworking guy. I mean, he had to train himself. I wanted the action to be real. I wanted him to be careful about his safety. I wanted him to be realistic and hand-to-hand. That's what I wanted him to do. So, I trained him," he added.

Yudhra which hit the theatres on September 20, is directed by Mom fame director Ravi Udyawar and written by Farhan Akhtar and Sridhar Raghavan. The film promises to be an action-packed cinematic experience, with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malayalam actress Malavika Mohanan taking on the lead roles. Yudhra also features a stellar cast, including Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun, and Raghav Juyal in crucial roles. The film is bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
