BTS' Jimin's apartment seized due to unpaid health insurance dues? Big Hit Music responds

Apart from ir group albums and songs, band members of Grammy-nominated South Korean group, BTS, are also focusing on ir individual careers. BTS' Jimin recently me helines for his debut OST (Original Sound Track) for Korean drama Our Blues.  singer collaborated with his best friend Ha Sung Woon for first time for OST. While fans lauded singer for his new venture, re came out to be anor reason for him making helines.

As per a Korean news outlet named Biz Hankook's latest report, South Korea's National Health Insurance Service seized Jimin's Seoul apartment on January 25, 2022, as singer did not pay his health insurance premiums. As per report, Jimin received four separate notices for same by registered mail during time of seizure. As seizure was temporary, it was ultimately lifted on April 22, 2022, after he paid his overdue premiums. Jimin's apartment at Nine one Hannam in Seoul was one that was seized earlier this year. singer bought apartment for 5.9 billion won (approximately $4.7 million) last year in month of May.

Big Hit Music responds to news of Jimin's apartment seizure

After news of seizure of Jimin's apartment me rounds on internet, his agency Big Hit Music released an official statement to dress situation. As per Soompi, agency's statement explained situation was caused due to company's error. y also apologised for giving singer and his fans cause for concern and also reason behind mistake. Here is ir statement - 

Regarding this matter, company is first to receive all mail that arrives at artists’ dorms, and in process of relaying it to artist, a portion of mail was omitted by mistake.

Due to Jimin’s activities abro starting at end of last year, his extended period of rest, and his scheduled activities abro after that, he was unaware of matters such as [his premiums] being overdue. As soon as he found out, he paid arrears in full, and at present, situation has been resolved.

We apologize for fact that we have given artist and fans cause for concern due to our company’s negligence.
