  • Leo is set to be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
  • Sanjay Dutt will play the role of the film’s antagonist, Antony Das.
  • Actress Trisha Krishnan will be appearing alongside Vijay after 14 years in Leo.

Why is the CBFC censoring Naa Ready?

In a recent report, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ordered the makers to remove several scenes of the actor smoking as well as mentions of alcohol in the song. This comes after several complaints were filed by Anaithu Makkal Arasiyal Katchi (AMAK) and others. Moreover, claims were made against the song that it was promoting drug trafficking and alcohol. Moreover, activist RTI Selvam claimed that along with the glorification of drugs, it was promoting 'rowdyism'.

Strong buzz for Leo in the UK

Thalapathy Vijay's Leo was recently opened for an advance booking in 120 locations in the United Kingdom. The film has ended up making a record with its advance ticket sales. It has sold more than 10,000 tickets in advance, minting more than £100k at the United Kingdom box office. The tickets were made available 42 days before the film's release. This is not unusual for the film, however, as Kanagaraj's previous outing Vikram, which featured Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil, and Vijay Sethupathi, also received commercial acclaim worldwide.
