Pakistani Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Mired In Controversy Again? Reports Of His Arrest Surface

As per Pakistani news media, the Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was detained at Dubai airport after a complaint was filed against him.

As per Pakistani news media, the Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was detained at Dubai airport after a complaint was filed against him. The singer was reportedly in UAE due to work commitments. Sources claim that a complaint against the singer has landed him in prison. 

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in prison? 

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has landed in trouble yet again. Months after a video of him thrashing his students went viral on social media, the Pakistani singer has seemingly landed in legal trouble. A complaint registered by his former manager has led to the singer's arrest.

As per Pakistani media reports, Rahat was in UAE to record a few songs when he was detained at the airport. The reports claimed he was detained at the immigration centre and taken into police custody for questioning. A complaint against the singer was filed by his former manager - Ahmed, with whom he had a public fallout a few months back. The duo had registered official police complaints against each other. 

 

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan denies arrest rumours 



As soon as the news of him being detained at the Dubai airport went viral online, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share a video of himself clarifying his stance. He recorded a video, seemingly from a hotel room, stating that he was fine and not arrested. The video was shared with the caption, "News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless. Regards Team RFAK"

In the video, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said he was in Dubai to record some of his songs. He called the news of his arrest at the Dubai airport ‘ghatiya’. He added in Hindi, “I will only request you to don’t listen to baseless rumours. There is nothing like what the enemy is thinking. I will soon return back to my homeland and entertain you all with my superhit songs. (sic)."

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan also shared, “To all my fans around the world, I request them again to not trust in such fake and baseless news and rumours. Don't waste your time and give respect to your favourite artiste. If you do that, your artiste will always be standing with you. You are my power. My audience and my fans are my power. Thank you very much”
