Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna is a household name in India and has established his mark overseas as well. The chef-owned Indian restaurant in New York seems to be abuzz with business. He took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share how his eatery is blooming, and this reminded netizens of Priyanka Chopra who sold her Indian eatery in New York City - Sona, just a few days back.

Vikas Khanna's Indian restaurant superhit among New Yorkers

On November 9, chef Vikas Khanna took to his X account to share a video from outside his restaurant in New York. The clip featured a few patrons waiting for their turn to enter the premises. The chef captioned the post with the information that the restaurant has been blooming with business for the last eight months.

He wrote in the caption, "Almost 8 months of pure blessings. For an Indian-Indian restaurant to be sold out in seconds every day was only possible because of all your love. Every Single Day." The restaurant - named Bungalow- was opened in March and has since then hosted a variety of celebrities including the Ambani family.

Vikas Khanna excels in the hospitality business just months after Priyanka Chopra's failure with Sona

Vikas Khanna's post comes months after Priyanka Chopra's co-owned Indian eatery in New York Sona closed doors. In June the New York-based restaurant Sona is closing 10 months after actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas withdrew her association as a co-founder from the outlet. The Citadel actor collaborated with Maneesh K Goyal, her friend and former business partner, to open the joint in 2021 while Covid-19 restrictions were still in place.

Announcing their departure the restaurant's official handle wrote, “After more than three remarkable years, Sona will be closing. We have immense gratitude for everyone who walked through our doors. It’s been our greatest honour to serve you. “Thank you to our dedicated team who serve delicious food, smiles & warmth daily."
