Chinese singer Zhang Xingte harassed by fans at Shanghai airport, watch viral video

Zhang Xingte, a 21-year-old Chinese singer, found himself in a distressing situation when confronted by a group of overly enthusiastic fans at an airport. What began as an attempt to meet the star turned into an incident of harassment. Fans not just harrased the star, but also threw water at him. Several videos of the same has been doing the rounds on the internet.

Zhang Xingte attacked by fans at the airport

At the Shanghai Pudong airport Zhang Xingte confronted the fans, urging them to stop their inappropriate behaviour. However, matter escalated as the fans retaliated by throwing water at him and resorting to verbal abuse. The situation took a violent turn when they physically hit him with their empty cups.

Despite the distressing encounter, Zhang Xingte displayed remarkable composure, stepping back from the conflict and even picking up the cups thrown at him.

Zhang Xingte's agency issues statement

Zhang Xingte's agency swiftly reported the incident to the police, leading to the detention of the three young women responsible for their actions at Shanghai Pudong airport. These individuals, claiming to be fans of the singer, had reportedly engaged in altercations with him previously at another airport and a performance venue entrance in Shanghai.

The statement read, "Today's airport incident has been reported to the police. I'm cooperating with the police while they're handling the case. Other related items have been communicated to a lawyer for resolution," as reported by Koreaboo.

The police revealed that the fans acquired information about Zhang Xingte's travel plans from an online fan base. They chose to follow and film the singer without his consent, marking a violation of his privacy and leading to distressing altercations. An official statement from Zhang Xingte's management confirmed the incident's report to the police and their cooperation in handling the case.
