Coldplay is returning to India after nine years in January 2025 with its Music of the Spheres World Tour. The British rock band will perform in Mumbai for three days - January 18, 19 and 21. Owing to the overwhelming demand, the band added another show on January 21 and announced that a mystery guest would be joining them. Since the announcement,  there have been several speculations as to who the mystery guest could be. Social media is buzzing with rumours regarding the concert.

Who will be the mystery guest for the Coldplay Mumbai concert?

Names of several celebrities from India as well as International are in the pool for Coldplay's mystery guest. As rumours run wild, Selena Gomez and BTS members Jin have emerged as top contenders for the spot. Both these names have popped, not without reason.

An Instagram page has set fan frenzy with a post that read, “So apparently Selena Gomez is the mystery guest for Coldplay?”. Fans went gaga as soon as it was posted. One user wrote, “Are you kidding me?”. Another user wrote, “Whattt”.

Double whammy for Armys at Coldplay concert?

Several Armies (BTS fandom) took to X and thronged the page to ask if BTS Jin might be the one to come to India to perform with the band? One user wrote, “Indian armies did anyone read the mystery guest thing on the concert banner???? What if itss JIN???? I mean i'll regret this forever”. BTS Jin in India for Coldplay concert?? OMG I am already freaking out thinking about this”. Another user wrote, “Me also wondering same I couldn’t sleep".

However, these are only speculations and nothing has been confirmed yet.

Why BTS’ Jin and Selena Gomez are speculated to be the mystery guests?

The main reason for the speculation that BTS' oldest member Jin might be the mystery guest of Coldplay is they both collaborated on the song Astronaut in 2022. The song was co-written by Jin.

Selena Gomez and Coldplay collaborated on the song Let Somebody Go for the rock band’s ninth studio album Music of the Spheres. On October 4, 2023, Coldplay & Selena Gomez performed the song at a live gig at the Rose Bowl.

After the Grammy-winning band Coldplay announced the dates for bringing their 'Music of the Spheres World Tour' to India, fans have gone crazy to watch their favourite musician performing on stage. The Mumbai shows are scheduled for January 18 and 19, 2025 at the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Mumbai. Since there was a huge rush of fans willing to buy tickets, a third show of the band has been added for January 21. Tickets for this additional show went live on September 22, 2024, on BookMyShow.
