Liam Payne's ex-fiancee Maya Henry has come under scanner after the former One Direction singer's untimely death. The singer, 31, fell from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday. Now, a video of Maya, who got engaged to Liam twice in a span of two years, talking about the singer's mental health is going viral. She appeared on Monday's episode of The Internet Is Dead podcast where he candidly spoke about Liam's mental health battle and alleged that he would message her repeatedly since the two separated.

In the podcast, Maya shared that he would always "play with death" and predict that he is going to die. "He would always message me ever since we broke up [saying], ‘Oh, I’m not well,'” she said. “He would always play with death and be like, ‘Well, I’m going to die. I’m not doing well," the 23-year-old model added.

In the same conversation, she described Liam's messages "manipulation tactic" just to make her feel bad for him. "There was one time I tried to get him help and then he was not taking it. He would text my mom, ‘I’m not doing well, have Maya contact me,’ because I wouldn’t respond," she added.

Earlier this year, in February, the model announced her fictional book, Moving Forward, which she claims to be inspired by true events. Around the same time, one of Liam's friends called her, warning her not to release the book for the sake of the singer's mental health.

However, recently Liam's action had "gotten so much worse" due to which she asked her lawyer to to issue a cease-and-desist order to Liam for persistently contacting her.

The model is currently in 'shock' after learning about Liam's death. The representative told the Daily Mail, "Right now, she is obviously in shock."

The couple started dating in 2019 and got engaged the next year. However, they called off their engagement in June 2021 only to reunite and get engaged again later that year. It was in May 2022, they ended their engagement for the second time. At the time of Payne's death, he was reportedly daring a model, Kate Cassidy.

What do we know about Liam Payne's death?

The singer was in Argentina reportedly to attend the concert of his former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan.  He suffered serious injuries and died on the spot, the statement said, per The Associated Press.

Pablo Policicchio, the communications director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, said in a statement to The Associated Press that Payne “had jumped from the balcony of his room.” Police rushed to the hotel in response to an emergency call just after 5 PM local time, he said, warning of an “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”
