Diljit Dosanjh Dil-Luminati Concert: 'Orchestrated Scam To Exploit...', Fan States In Legal Notice

A law student in Delhi, who could not purchase a ticket to Diljit's concert despite several attempts, has sent a legal notice to him and event organisers.

Diljit Dosanjh Concert: The GOAT singer has become a hot property in India and abroad. Diljit is all set to kick-start his highly anticipated Dil-Luminati tour in India after successfully wrapping up its US and Canada leg. However, the tour has attracted criticism from fans due to high prices, with many also blasting the singer for selling his concert tickets for as much as ₹25k+ in Indian cities.

Now, a Delhi law student has also reportedly sent a legal notice to the Lover singer, alleging that he, the concert organisers and the official partners are making money off unsuspecting fans lining up in a digital queue to avail Dil-Luminati tour tickets.

Legal trouble for Diljit Dosanjh?

According to Indianpsu.com, a law student in Delhi, who could not purchase a ticket to Diljit's concert despite several attempts has sent a legal notice to him, raising serious questions over the process of selling tickets to the show which is to take place in New Delhi on October 26.

Apart from Diljit, the legal notice has also been sent to the event organiser – Saregama Private Limited, official ticketing partner – Zomato and HDFC Bank, on charges of breaking consumer trust by failing to honour the exclusive access promised to its card holders. Copies of the notice have been sent to Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) and Ministry of Consumer Affairs too.

Allegations of unfair trade practices against Diljit, concert organisers

In the legal notice, the law student alleged that the stakeholders may be artificially inflating demand and manipulating prices of Diljit's Dil-Luminati tour. the notice mentions that scalping and hoarding of tickets with an intent to resell them at a higher price is a clear violation of consumer rights. "The rapid sellout of tickets appears to be an orchestrated scam designed to exploit fans," the notice reads.

The Delhi student has also demanded an explanation about the process followed in the selling of tickets, including the number of tickets allotted during pre-sale and general sale.
