Miss Universe 2024: Panama's Italy Mora Reacts To Last-Minute Disqualification Over Personal Scandal
Italy Mora, the Miss Universe contestant from Panama, has been disqualified just days before the grand finale due to a personal scandal.

Miss Universe pageant is one of most-awaited events. Beautiful women on planet will be competing for 73rd edition of pageant and will be held at Arena Ciud de Mexico in Aztec capital. In midst of this, Italy Mora from Panama, has been disqualified and also responded to it.

According to several reports, main reason for her dismissal is because Mora was joined by her boyfriend Juan Abia, in his separate hotel room in Mexico without permission from even organisers. Rumours also suggested that she was expelled after a heated argument with Cesar Anel Rodriguez, director of Miss Universe Panama over event’s poor organisation.

Italy Mora post reports, released a statement on her Instagram storied dressing disciplinary commission’s evaluation issue that led her to early exit at Miss Universe 2024 competition. She wrote, “About my departure from Miss Universe 2024. On November 1, 2024, I was informed of my withdrawl from Miss Universe pageant. As I was preparing to attend gala evening, organiation informed me of its decision that I should leave competition”.
In lengthy note, she has also clarified her withdrawal and false information circulated. She concluded saying, she sincerely appreciate support and affection received and her gratitude for thrust she received.

Italy Johan Peñaloza Mora (born 2005) is a Panamanian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Señorita Panamá 2024.
Days after her disqualification, she was removed by Señorita Panama Organisation as Miss Universe Panama 2024.
