Mithun Chakraborty and Helena Luke got married in 1979. At time, actor had broken up with Sarika and immediately married Helena. In an interview post ir split, actress shared that Mithun had promised her world before marri.
 

However, due to ir personal differences, couple filed a divorce four months later. In an interview with Stardust magazine at time, Helena accused Mithun of brainwashing her and being possessive. She said, "I only wish it hadn’t happened, he (Mithun) was one who brainwashed me into believing that he was man for me, unfortunately, he succeeded. I’ll never go back to him even if he is richest guy around. I haven’t even asked for alimony, it was a nightmare, and it’s over.”

When Helena Luke called Mithun Chakraborty ‘extremely immature, possessive’

In same interview, Helena recalled Mithun assuring her that he truly loved her. She shared, “I really believed him when he told me that he loved me. But when I got to kw him better, I realized that he loved one but himself. He was extremely immature, and though I was years younger than him, I felt much older. He was very possessive and accused me of seeing my ex-boyfriend Javed on sly. I used to go blue in face trying to convince him that I didn’t, but couldn’t succeed in eradicating his deep-rooted suspicious nature. It was only later that I realized he had a guilt complex. He himself was fooling around my back and thought I was doing same.”

Disco Dancer fame went on to marry actres Yogeeta Bali in 1979. y are parents to four children.
