Rohit Bal Cremated, Arjun Rampal And Fashion Industry Colleagues Bid Tearful Adieu To 'Gudda'

Rohit Bal, rewned Indian fashion designer, died at of 63 after a year-long battle with a heart condition. Friends and admirers of Bal gared alongside his family to pay ir final respects to designer who played a pivotal role in bringing Indian fashion to global st. He died on Friday night at a South Delhi hospital following a heart attack at of 63. He was cremated at Lodhi Road crematorium here on Saturday.

His funeral was attended by Sunil Sethi, president of Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), actor-model Arjun Rampal, designers JJ Valaya, Varun Bahl and Rohit Gandhi. designer's mortal remains were kept at his Defence Colony residence, where many prominent personalities paid ir last respects.

Rohit Bal came from a Kashmiri Hindu family. He began his career by founding Orchid Oversea Pvt Ltd in 1986. Bal received his education from Woodlands House School and Burn Hall School in Srinagar. Rohit Bal has a bror, and two sisters. Very little is kwn about his mor. As per reports, his family was forced was move out of Kashmir valley in 1970s. His family moved to National Captial and he continued his education at Delhi University

Rohit Bal is best kwn for having lotus and peacock motifs. He frequently employed rich fabrics like velvet, brocade and his designs were elaborate and inspired by Indian grandeur and royalty. Apart from Bollywood celebrities, he also had a International client base that includes Cindy Crawford, Pamela Anderson and Uma Thurman.

Rohit Bal passed died on vember 1 at South Delhi hospital following a heat attack. He had recently presented his latest collection at n Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI 2024 grand finale, which had marked his runway comeback 10 months after his illness.
