Sharda Sinha's Last Video: The popular Bihari folk singer breathed her last at the age of 72 on November 5. The news of her demise came as a shock to fans across the country for whom the singer was synonymous with the festival of Chhath. A video from the hospital shows the singer crooning her folk songs even in her last days in the hospital.

Sharda Sinha's heartwrenching video goes viral 

Sharda Sinha was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on October 27. The singer was in the ICU and was battling blood cancer. Even in her last days, Bihar Kokila treated her fans with the gift of voice.

In a now-viral video, Sharda Sinha could be seen lying on the hospital bed and crooning one of her popular Chhath Geet. The singer's undeterred spirit has impressed her fans. The video is now widely circulated on social media platforms.

Sharda Sinha laid to rest with full state honours 

The last rites of renowned folk singer Sharda Sinha were performed with full state honours on November 7. The folk singer passed away on November 5 at around 9.20 pm due to refractory shock as a result of 'septicaemia', said an AIIMS Delhi official. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that the last rites of the singer, Padma Bhushan awardee, would be conducted with full state honours, as per an official statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office.

Sharda Sinha, known as the " Bihar Kokila" for her melodious renditions of folk music, breathed her last on the first day of the Chhath Puja, a day particularly significant to her fans due to her iconic Chhath Mahaparv songs. An emotional statement from her son, Anshuman Sinha, revealed the family's decision to hold her last rites at the same location where his father's final rites were performed in Patna.
