Sharmin Segal marries Aman Mehta, shares official photos from wedding ceremony

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece Sharmin Segal got married to her boyfriend Aman Mehta a few days ago. Now, the actress has officialy announced by sharing dreamy photos from the wedding ceremony. She also penned a long note, sharing her ordeal to find a “perfect" photo to post.

On Thursday, Sharmin took to her Instagram handle and shared a string of pictures looking beautiful as a bride. For the wedding, the actress wore an embellished silver lehenga paired with a matching blouse. She accessorised her look with statement jewellery and sported light makeup with tinted pink lips. The groom, on the other hand, complemented her in an ivory sherwani paired with a red and creamed shawl.

His wedding album includes a photo from the pre-wedding ceremony, in which Sharmin is donning a cocktail-coloured lehenga set while Aman can be seen in an ivory kurta. Another photo also seems to be from their wedding ceremonies.

She started her note with these words, "We got married!"…and it was a struggle to find a “perfect” posed photo of you and I, but I believe that when you are experiencing a special time in your life and, you cherish the actual moment sometimes photos and words are not able to capture it. At the end of the day, it is an emotion and it can’t always be captured but is ALWAYS felt."

She added, "The last few months have been a whirlwind of happy emotions and I’m so lucky I found you to share them with." She signed off by writing, "Here is to new beginnings and growing with each other to become better versions of ourselves everyday, together! Thank you for being genuinely the best @amansmehta! I love you, always and forever."

Soon after she shared the post, her industry friends flooded the comment section. Stylist Ami Patel and Avantika Dassani wrote, "Congratulations". Armaan Malik wrote, "Congratulations to the both of you. this is so special!" Others dropped hearts and fire emoticons.

Who is Sharmin Segal?

Sharmin is the daughter of Bela and Deepak Segal. She is the niece of director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She made her debut in Bollywood with Malaal alongside debutant Meezan. The film was produced by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Next, she will be seen in Bhansali's OTT debut series Heeramandi. The series also stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sanjeeda Sheikh. The series will showcase the story of the courtesans of Lahore and will explore the lesser-known aspects of their lives. It will be set in pre-independent India. The first look from the series was unveiled in February this year and revealed that it will stream on Netflix. The makers are yet to announce the release date.
