The Bachelorette's Bryan Abasolo, Rachel Lindsay file for divorce after 4 years of marriage

The Bachelor Nation has just seen through yet another split. The most recent in this regard are Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo. The duo met on the sets of the 2017 edition of The Bachelorette, a season centered around Lindsay. They met on night one of the show from where their relationship took off - Abasolo eventually won the show. Following a two year engagement, the two exchanged vows in 2019. Abasolo eventually relocated from Miami to Los Angeles in 2021 so as to live with Lindsay. However, the pair have now officially filed for divorce - as per reports acquired by PEOPLE.

For the unversed, Abasolo and Lindsay have maintained a low profile when it comes to their relationship, post their Bachelorette stint. However, Abasolo addressed their split with an expansive statement, a highlight of which was the chiropractor calling his role as a husband, his "proudest" thus far. 

Excerpts from the same read, "...Many of you know me as a chiropractor, and also as a husband, my proudest role so far. After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew. My parents have been married forever and I'm a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go. I wanted you to hear it from the source before the blogs start making up their own reality. Please respect the spaces of our family and friends as we figure out our next steps..."

Bryan Abasolo and Rachel Lindsay were going to start a family together

As recently as November, in a byte for E!News, Lindsay had revealed how the duo were actively looking into start a family. However, there were some roadblocks the two might have been facing, as is evident from Lindsay's statement. For context, the documents procured assert that Abasolo filed for divorce from Lindsay on January 2. 

She said, "It's been harder than I thought it would be. We're trying. You think, 'Oh yeah, when I'm ready, I'll make it happen.' But it's just been a little bit more difficult for us. But we're definitely starting the process."
