Nia Sharma endorses vagina-tightening cream
On October 22, Nia Sharma took to her Instagram account to share a video from her latest ad campaign. The caption for the vagina-tightening pill read, “Sometimes, life is all about finding the perfect fit 😉 Whether it’s your favourite outfit or something more intimate, we’ve got you covered. Experience the perfect ‘tight’ with Vg-3”
In the post, the Naagin fame could be seen getting uncomfortable with loose-fitting clothes, an opened bottle cap and loose shoelaces. She then claimed that loose things are a hassle and said “Do it right, keep it tight". She concluded the video by claiming that the pills she is selling are ‘doctor approved, tested by 1 million women and have no side effects'.
Nia Sharma faces massive backlash
Following the video, fans of the actress and social media users took to the comment section to react to it harshly. A user wrote, “Horrible horrible horrible! It’s 2024 and yet this unscientific nonsense is being peddled. First that vaginal whitening cream and now this!” A netizen accused Nia of reinforcing old beauty standards and wrote, “It takes a village to break one stereotype about female genitalia. And then people like you perpetuate this regressive bullshit and ruin it for all of us. Do you know how harmful spreading this misinformation could be to women who aren't as privileged as you? What if men start giving these to their partners without their knowledge? Because they will.”
Another claimed, “Thats extremely low Nia.” Another mentioned, “with the young audience that you have, endorsing such a product which severely lacks scientific understandings is so so so harmful. Pick a book for once and stop this bs.”
