A clip shows Dirk kissing Shilpa playfully on the cheek while she was resting on the couch, with other housemates around her. However, he did not stop at this and went on to slip his hand down her waist in a manner that made her and the others near them uncomfortable.

As the incident unfolded, Shilpa tried to force herself free from Dirk's embrace and ran away, laughing off everything that had transpired. However, her embarrassment over the uninvited advances was evident.

When Shilpa's stay in Big Brother led to racism controversy

Shilpa was one of the 11 housemates who participated in the show and came out to be the winner on the 26th day of her stay in the house. She battled racism to emerge as the title holder. Racial slurs hurled at her during the show included words like "dog", "poppadum" and "princess". Jade Goody targeted her over the colour of her skin, saying she "needed a day in the slum". The alleged racism was so intense that diplomatic ties between India and the UK were also affected.
