A chimpanzee repeatedly taps on the glass eager to communicate with the human to give him the soft drink through the hole in the glass enclosure.

In a video circulating online, a chimpanzee in confinement at a zoo “asks” visitors for food and soft drink to be fed to him through hole in glass enclosure that has amused internet. Shared by  Indian Forest Officer Susanta Nanda on his official Twitter handle video made a few people laugh, while drove some in a state of melancholy for animal t being fed. Also being able to relate with animal’s ordeal amid stay-at-home orders to stem pandemic, users called video “sad” and urged caretakers to “unc  chimp”. Some users laughed at hilarious trick of chimpanzee to toriously guide guest to pour him soft drink via an opening in glass.

In clip that drew over 3.5k views and 518 likes, an individual can be standing outside a glass enclosure with a polybag of fruits and soft drinks that was kept on grass. A chimpanzee, upon seeing food, taps on glass and effectively communicates with human. He signals for some of  food to be handed out to him. Confused, visitor looks at enclosure for a way to feed animal, however, he cleverly guides how drink could be poured inside using tricks and methods around c.

As person in clip can be seen brandishing banana and pet bottle of cold drink, chimpanzee profusely paces, jumps, communicating with  human to hand it out to him. With hopeful and longing eyes, he tastes soft drink from or side of glass happily in  48-second-long video.

Chimpanzees are kwn for being able to express mselves, via grunts, gestures, and facial forms and sometimes screams according to reports by zoological experts. Most often, y interact with humans for food when y are hungry and have ability to communicate using human-like bodily gestures.  forest officer wrote in caption that while interacting with such species “appears” to be amusing to people, y deserve to be free in wild.
