It is t a hidden fact that many producers had to undergo several losses with shootings of several movies stalled amidst lockdown.
According to media reports, producer of movie Lalit Kumar and or producers of Kollywood industry had sought permission from Kadamba Raju, Tamil Nadu Minister, to resume shooting process.

Ajay Gnanamuthu to go for a 40 percent remuneration slash
After Minister reportedly denied shooting permission to producers, Ajay has decided to opt for a 40 percent remuneration slash to aid producers of film. His ble gesture has been encouraging for makers of movie. Ajay along with Vikram and rest of crew were shooting in Russia when nationwide lockdown was imposed by government.

Reportedly, even though just a few remaining sections of movie were left for shoot, it came to an abrupt halt once lockdown was anunced. Cobra also stars Srinidhi Shetty, KS Ravikumar, and Indian cricketer Irrfan Pathan.

makers of movie recently released first track from Cobra starring Vikram. song was a romantic number titled Thumbi Thullal. track has been composed by AR Rahman. Talking about Ajay, he rose to fame with his film Imaikka digal which had garnered immense critical acclaim. filmmaker has reportedly shot movie Cobra in varied locations like Chennai, Europe, Russia, and Kerala.
According to media reports, makers are planning to resume shoot of film once COVID-19 lockdown is lifted. film, Cobra is Ajay Gnanamuthu's first collaboration with Vikram. It is, however, Vikram's third collaboration with AR Rahman post movie Raavanan. Cobra movie was officially anunced in May 2019 and also marks debut of Indian cricketer, Irrfan Pathan. According to media reports, he will be playing Vikram's antagonist in movie.
