Kanna actor Darshan, who is accused in Renukaswamy murder case, was transferred to Bellary Jail on Thursday morning after allegations of receiving VIP treatment in Parappana Agrahara Prison, Bengaluru. A photo of him with three ors enjoying a conversation in lawns of Parappana Agrahara Prison went viral earlier this week, leing to controversy.

In leaked photos obtained by Republic Kanna, he could be seen enjoying coffee and smoking a cigarette while having leisure time in garden with his manager and ors. According to reports, a jail inmate sent this photo of Darshan to his wife, assuring her of his condition while being incarcerated.
Following this incident, court on Tuesday granted permission to shift Kanna actor to Bellary. court also permitted shifting of or co-accused in murder case to various prisons in state.

A total of 17 people, including Darshan, along with his friend Pavithra Gowda, are currently in judicial custody in connection with murder of Renukaswamy. Bengaluru Police Commissioner, B Dayananda stated on August 16 that fan murder case involving Kanna superstar Darshan, Pavithra Gowda and 15 ors, was reaching its final stage. Police Commissioner stated that oral, circumstantial, and technical evidence related to sensational murder h been collected and sent to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Bengaluru, from where about 70 per cent of reports have been received.
gruesome murder of Renukaswamy took place on June 8 in Bengaluru. He was kidnapped from his hometown, Chitrurga, brought to Bengaluru, kept in a shed, and tortured to death. After murder, his body was thrown into a canal. incident came to light after security personnel of a private apartment building saw body being dragged by a pack of dogs. Renukaswamy is survived by aged parents, a pregnant wife and a sister.
