Recently, re was a buzz about Dhanush’s much-awaited film Jagame Thandhiram to release directly on digital platform. However, film's producer Sashikanth took to his Twitter handle on Thursday, August 27, 2020, to dismiss all rumours and reports regarding same. producer also revealed that y will wait for a atrical release.

Jagame Thandhiram is an action thriller film that stars Dhanush, James Cosmo and Aishwarya Lekshmi in leing roles, while Joju George and Kalaiyarasan play crucial roles in film. This movie marks third film of music composer Santhosh Narayanan after Kodi and Va Chennai, with Dhanush. Initially, film was slated to hit atres on May 1, and n was pushed to August 27 but release date was once again postponed due to coronavirus outbreak.
