Dior postpones collaboration with Travis Scott 'indefinitely' following Astroworld tragedy

Dior 'postpones indefinitely' collection with rapper Travis Scott following the Astroworld tragedy, which led to the deaths of 10 youngsters.

Dior has postponed launch of its fashion line in collaboration with Travis Scott in wake of Astroworld tragedy. fashion giant, as per a report on WWD, stated that launch has been 'postponed indefinitely.' 

luxury brand said that ir decision was 'out of respect' for everyone affected by tragic events at Astroworld. Antidote artist said that decision to postpone collection was taken mutually.

Dior and Travis Scott partnership h been announced in June this year.  collections, said to be men's lines, were to be launched in summer of 2022. 

partnership was to feature products from rapper's brand Cactus Jack. collaboration was reported to be a combination of Scott's Texas roots and Parisian lineage of brand.

latest development is in wake of numerous setbacks for Travis Scott over Astroworld tragedy. first was Nike postponing launch of collection with Travis last month. Anheuser-Busch announced that it was discontinuing its seltzers collaboration with Travis Scott earlier this month. 

documentary Astroworld: Concert from Hell was removed by Hulu from streaming. He has also been dropped from Coachella list of performers.

Multiple lawsuits have been filed against Scott over accident, including one by family of a 14-year-old victim. 

Astroworld Tragedy

10 people were killed in a crowd crush in midst of concert being held at NRG Park in Houston on November 5. concert was being attended by 50,000.

attendees of concert h rushed towards stage when y faced inconvenience. police ruled that accidental compressive asphyxiation was cause of death. 

More than 300 people were affected, and treated following chaos at concert, and 25 persons were hospitalised. victims were in 14-27 age range. 

Scott h shared that he was willing to help families affected by tragedy. In a recent interview, he said that he was not aware of turn of events till completion of his performance.
