Dulquer Salmaan, Suriya to come together for this director's film?

Dulquer Salmaan is currently gearing up for the release of King of Kotha in late August. Now, he is in the limelight for a different reason. If reports are to be believed, the actor has already bagged his next big project. Dulquer Salmaan and Suriya may be sharing screen space soon.

Dulquer Salmaan is one of the biggest contemporary stars from Malayalam cinema with a strong pan-India presence. He will be leading gangster flick King of Kotha which boasts of a expansive ensemble cast. Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, the film will release on August 25. Suriya on the other hand is one of the biggest names from Tamil cinema. He is currently working on his much-awaited project, Suriya 43, directed by Sudha Kongara. The two have previously collaborated for the critically-acclaimed Soorarai Pottru. 

Who's saying what?

If reports are to be believed Dulquer Salmaan has been brought on board to join the cast of Suriya 43. Internet chatter also suggests that the Malayalam star will be playing a parallel lead to Suriya. If this is true, it would see Dulquer Salmaan and Suriya share screen space together for the first time. The news was shared by Christopher Kanagaraj.

Kanagaraj's tweet read, "Buzz: New Addition to #Suriya43 Dulquer Salman Suriya - Sudha Kongara film." Though news about Kongara's next film has been largely kept under wraps, reports suggest that the plot for the film revolves around a gangster from Madurai. It is based on true events but not is a complete retelling of real-life incidents.. If true, this would mean Dulquer Salmaan would be starring in two gangster films back to back.

Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha features him in the role of Kotha Rajendran. A teaser for the film was released recently. It  introduced us to the cast. The film a stars Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod Jose and Shammi Thilakkan to name a few. King of Kotha will be releasing in theatres on the occasion of Onam, August 24. Suriya, on the other hand, will soon be seen in Siva's Kanguva.
