Dutch metro train saved by giant whale tail sculpture as it headed for a fatal crash
The train was left suspended dramatically in the air as it ended up being balanced on the large sculpture of a whale's tail the De Akkers metro station.

A Dutch metro train driver h a fortunate escape when front carri of train crashed through end of an elevated section of rails and was caught in a whale sculpture near port city of Rotterdam on Monday, vember 2. lucky catch prevented train from plunging into 10m (32ft) water below.

incident created a stir in locality and authorities h to remind sightseers to maintain social distancing amid coronavirus restrictions. Even as authorities tried to do away with sightseers, around 50 people were at scene on Monday morning as engineers tried to work out how to stabilise train and n remove it amid strengning winds.
Carly Gorter, a spokeswoman for local security authority, said, "A team of experts is investigating how we can make it safe and get it down." She ded that it was a tricky matter. As per reports, authority furr said that a crane would try to lift train off whale on Tuesday.

Driver being probed
Meanwhile, company that operates metro line has informed that driver escaped uninjured and re were passengers on train when it crashed through stop barriers at end of station. station is final stop on metro line, company ded.

Maarten Struijs, architect who designed sculpture, is reported to have said he was pleased that sculpture saved life of driver. "I’m surprised it’s so strong," architect said. "If plastic has been standing for 20 years, you don’t expect it to hold a metro carri", he ded.
