Garth Brooks recently got emotional as he sang a rare full version of the song Belleau Wood which was based on the 1914 Christmas truce of World War 1.

singer said that he absolutely loves rich story behind song. singer glly began singing song about soldiers outing down ir weapons. song also speaks of how soldiers were singing Silent Night when ceasefire was anunced and thus celebrated Christmas toger.

In CBS live show, Garth Brooks weeps as he moves ahe with song and says that he will try to “get this”. He continues singing song as his voice begins to break and eyes begin to tear up. Garth somehow mans to almost complete song and apologise to fans by saying he “Almost Me it” as he wipes off tears from his eyes.

Both Garth and Trisha were taking in requests from fans who were listening to m perform on CBS network. During this time, one of fans requested for Garth Brooks to sing a version of Belleau Wood. song was co-written by Joe Henry and Garth for singer’s album Sevens in 1997. song Belleau Wood speaks of Truce during ceasefire motion at western front during World War 1.
troops of British, French and German soldiers were instructed to cease war as truce for Christmas was anunced. As Garth brooks began singing song, Trisha mitted that she never cries often but that particular song always makes her cry and gets her emotional. Speaking of song, Garth said in live session that he has always performed an abbreviated version of song. He mentioned that he often gets a number of requests to play song and he ends up playing a shorter or briefer version of it.
