Hanumankind has announced his upcoming India tour. The Big Dawgs singer is set to perform this September as per details shared in his Instagram post.
Rapper Hanumankind, originally named Sooraj Cherukat has became a global sensation after his song Big Dawgs went viral. The track has gained over 84 million views on YouTube and ranks among the top global music videos. It has even got 9th position on the Billboard Hot 100 within a month of release. The Kerala-based artist has now given a treat to his fans by announcing his upcoming India tour which is set to take place in September.
Humankind announces tour date
Hanumankind has made waves beyond India with his track while setting a milestone for Indian hip-hop on the global stage. On August 30, the rapper announced his first tour of India through an Instagram post.
In his post, Big Dawgs singer revealed the dates and venues for his upcoming concerts, stating that he will be performing in Bengaluru on September 13 and in Mumbai on September 15. Tickets are now available on his official page at skillboxes.com. The rapper first shared this exciting news during an Instagram live session. Since then his fans have been waiting for the official dates. The price of the tickets begins at a modest ₹799 and has gone up to ₹1499 in the second phase. Hours after the announcement, the first phase of his Bengaluru show was sold out.
How did Big Dawg become a sensation?
Hanumankind aka Sooraj Cherukat is from Texas. His music video for Big Dawgs, was filmed in Ponnani, Kerala. The song blends local and international styles, presenting a distinct South American-inspired visual theme. The artist wrote and composed the song, which gained fame for its politically charged lyrics about identity and its inventive music video featuring a traditional carnival attraction called the ‘well of death’. Following the song's success, Kerala Tourism revealed the video's location in Ponnani, Kerala, sparking interest in the area, often referred to as the Mecca of Kerala.
Apart from Big Dawgs, Hanumankind has other notable tracks including Namma Stories, Go To Sleep, Maadeva, Rush Hour, and DAMNSON, reflecting his versatility as an artist.
