Has ‘Loki’ just given MCU a way to resurrect Black Widow?

first episode of Loki series has t only been getting a lot of cheer from fans and audience but has also become an epicentre of fan ories. one particular scene in Loki episode 1, which has inspired most number of fan ories till w, is scene with Infinity Stones being deemed useless in TVA (Time Variance Authority). Recently, ar fan ory that surfaced online from same scene, is that of Marvel Cinematic Universe opening up a possibility of bringing Black Widow back to life.

Infinity Stones scene in Loki episode 1

first episode of Loki begins with Time Variance Authority, or TVA, apprehending Loki for creating an alternate timeline. This comes after Loki escapes with Tesseract ( Stone), from 2012 timeline of Avengers: Endgame. After being held as a prisoner, Loki tries to escape from TVA and looks for Tesseract that y h seized from him. While looking, he opens a drawer, to find that multiple Infinity Stones are simply lying in re, with or random objects.

Upon asking a TVA employee, he finds out that Stones are being used as paperweights in TVA. He realises that since TVA exists out of time and boundaries of universe, se Stones do t work re. TVA nts also possess a device that can reset messed up timelines, like Loki’s timeline of 2012. From this scene, entertainment news site, Wrap, unfurled a ory about how Natasha Romaff could come back to life.

ory of how Black Widow could return

In Avengers: Endgame, Natasha Romaff sacrificed her life so that Clint Barton, Hawkeye, could obtain Soul Stone for ir mission. And after Thas was defeated in movie, Captain America returned  Stones to ir original timelines, to avoid any kind of alternate timeline mess. While all or Stones could have been returned rmally, one kws how Steve could return  Soul Stone, since sacrifice me for it could t be reversed. Here is where new ory comes in.

According to ory, TVA could have helped Steve restore timeline of Soul Stone by ir timeline-restoring device, and taken Stone for mselves (as we saw in episode, y h multiple Stones just lying around). If this was possible, n maybe Natasha Romaff exists in Soul Stone that y might have seized. This speculation comes because like we saw in Avengers: Infinity War climax, after Thas snapped his fingers, he saw Gamora in Soul World because she was sacrificed for Soul Stone (and that particular Soul Stone was later destroyed by Thas). Similarly, if Natasha exists in Soul Stone (or its Soul World), and  TVA has seized that stone, re is a possibility she can come back to life.
