Avengers: Endgame director praises advant of streaming over atrical releases

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame co-director Joe Russo expressed that world of streaming has plenty of benefits as compared to atres. He said that world is disrupting, and it is changing at lightning speed and pandemic has certainly accelerated that change. He thinks that re are certain stories that are better suited for digital distribution and it is becoming more evident what those stories are.

filmmaker also thinks that re is a real specificity to reaching regions, international regions that digital has as an advant. Joe mentioned that re is also a cost advant. He explained that people can share accounts and get 10 movies in a month for cost of one film. t everyone can afford luxury of going to atre, he ted.

Joe Russo added that re is just a wider audience that a project can reach. He mentioned that re are metrics of opening weekend box office by which films get defined “inappropriately” because t every movie is designed to crush it at box office opening weekend. filmmaker stated that if it is going to hurt story or way that press or public perceives a movie, n maybe that is t best way to release that film.

It was recently anunced that Wonder Woman 1984 will arrive in atres and HBO Max at same time. Speaking on matter, Joe Russo said that he thinks movie is just a sampling of what future will look like. But he thinks y can supercharge each or and those that want atrical experience can get it and those for some reasons, be it ecomic or health or whatever will have opportunity to see it in ir own home.
