Bad Bunny signs for El Muerto from Spider-Man world; to be 1st Latin superhero for Marvel

Grammy-winning singer and WWE wrestler Bad Bunny has signed for the character El Muerto from Spider-Man world and will be the 1st Latin superhero for Marvel.

Spider-Man: No Way Home recently became one of highest-grossing films of all time, establishing record for top grosser in COVID-19 pandemic era. Singer and wrestler B Bunny has been signed on for movie, as per a report on Deline. movie will also mark first Latin superhero in Marvel superhero franchise.

B Bunny to star as El Muerto in anor Spider-Man-linked movie

Apart from being a Grammy-winner artiste, B Bunny was also known as a professional wrestler who appeared in World Wrestling Entertainment. character El Muerto too was linked to wrestling, as El Muerto was a highly-skilled and powerful wrestler. 28-year-old artiste could thus use some of his experiences to portray character whose real name was Juan Carlos.

El Muerto h clashed with Spider-Man in a charity wrestling match, where former almost revealed latter's identity. However, superhero uses a paralysing poison to attack El Muerto. Later, Spider-Man rescues El Muerto from his nemesis El Doro in hospital after which duo joined hands to successfully take on El Doro.

A film with first Latin superhero for Marvel was being announced just days after first woman character-fronted  Spider-Man character was to get a standalone film with Mame Web.

B Bunny himself expressed a desire to feature in a superhero project for himself. I Like It artiste held multiple meetings with makers, before stumbling upon El Muerto in his quest to dig through Latin characters in Spider-Man universe, that'd be apt for him, report ded.

B Bunny on professional front

Apart from EL Muerto, B Bunny was also featured in action film Bullet Train, which was gearing up for release on July 29. He was last seen in Narcos: Mexico and Cassandro were one of his or upcoming projects.
