Brad Pitt Is 'Willing' To Call Truce With Angelina Jolie To Rekindle With His Kids: He Knows...

Brad Pitt, who is basking in the success of his acting career, is reportedly having a tough time in his personal life with his kids, shared with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, dropping his surname from their names. It all happened, the veteran actor when his daughter Vivienne was celebrating with her mother nearly 3,000 miles away in New York City at the 77th annual Tony Awards, while Pitt was left alone in Los Angeles. Now, the actor is "willing" to call a truce with Angelina.

For the unversed, the mother-daughter duo won Tony Awards for The Outsiders. Angelina served as producer of the show, while her daughter joined the production as a volunteer assistant.

An insider told In Touch that Pitt's kids now "want nothing to do with him" and this he realised when his kids started dropping his last name. On May 27, Shiloh, who turned 18, filed paperwork to get "Pitt" officially removed from her surname. Her other sisters, Vivienne, 15, and Zahara, 19, have also reportedly opted to drop their father's last name.

Around this time, Vivienne was credited as Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill for the Broadway musical The Outsiders, while Zahara was introduced as Zahara Marley Jolie at a sorority initiation ceremony at Spelman College in November 2023.

The source told the publication, "He's (Pitt) sorry for everything that went down, and he knows he wasn't a model husband or dad during the time they were together."

It seems the problems arose during the divorce and custody battle with Angelina, which left Pitt estranged from his children. The former couple share six children - Maddox, 22; Pax, 20; Zahara, 19; Shiloh, 18; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 15. However, now the Bullet Train actor wants to repair his relationship with his kids. “Never in a million years did Brad imagine this yearslong fight and rivalry,” says the source referring to the former couple's ongoing legal battle over the sale of Angelina's share of their winery, Chateau Miraval. “He's willing to throw his hands up and surrender," the source added.

Brad Pitt is ready to make concessions?

The source shared that Pitt knows that if he wants to mend his relationship with his kids then he has to make peace with Angelina. “The kids' dropping Brad's name is just the tip of the iceberg,” the source told In Touch. "Brad spent a lot of time and money trying to do what he thought was the right thing for his kids, but now he's wondering if it was worth it. Miraval was something for the kids to have and build on when he's gone, but if they don't want it, it's a moot point," the source added.

The source concluded by saying that Pitt knows he can't force the issue and he can’t make his children want to see him. It has to be on their terms, but he'll be there when his kids are ready.
