Here’s how you can make Chrissy Teigen’s potato leek soup

Ingredients needed:

  • Two to three medium leeks
  • Four tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • Three minced garlic cloves
  • Two tablespoons of kosher salt
  • Half teaspoon of white pepper
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • Three medium-sized potatoes
  • Four cups of vegetable broth
  • Half cup of heavy cream
  • Three tablespoons of vegetable oil

Recipe:

  1. Take leeks and cut off half an inch from top
  2. w, cut halfway through leeks until you reach centre
  3. Wash leeks under running water to remove any sand
  4. w cut leeks into thin slices
  5. Make sure that you keep white and green parts away from darker green part
  6. w take a saucepan and add butter
  7. Add white and pale green parts of leek and cook until it is softened
  8. w, add garlic, salt, white pepper and nutmeg
  9. Keep stirring for two minutes until it is fragrant
  10. Add potatoes to saucepan and keep cooking for ar ten minutes
  11. Pour broth into saucepan and bring it to a boil
  12. Keep heat low and let mixture simmer for about half an hour until potatoes are softened
  13. w, take a blender and make vegetable mix into a smooth, creamy texture
  14. After you are done blending, add heavy cream
  15. As soup is cooking on side, heat some vegetable oil in ar saucepan
  16. Add dark green part of leeks
  17. Stir and saute m until y are dark brown
  18. Take this out on a towel and top with salt
  19. w, pour soup into a bowl and top it with crispy leeks
