Ex Catwomen Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer praise Zoe Kravitz

Ex catwomen Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer have praised the next woman, Zoe Kravitz on being cast for the role in the upcoming movie 'The Batman'.In a tweet, Berry, 53 congratulated Kravitz, 30 by calling her "eternally graceful" and "extremely bad **s." The tweet concluded with "keep shining Queen & welcome to the family!"

Halle Berry played the role of Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, in 2004. She received much criticism from fans and critics for her role and even appeared in person at the 2005 Razzie Awards to accept her award for worst actress. Pfeiffer,  who also portrayed the role in 'Batman Returns' in 1992, said that she was extremely excited. She also talked about Kravitz's casting with Michael Strahan. When she was asked about any piece of advice she would like to give to the actor on playing the popular role, she said to ensure about the designing of the costumes.

Kravitz will play the lead opposite Robert Pattinson 

On the other hand, Anne Hathaway who essayed the role in 2012's 'The Dark Knight Rises' also expressed her opinion on the new casting taking it to Instagram. She congratulated Kravitz on landing the role of a lifetime. Kravitz will be playing the lead opposite Robert Pattinson who will play the role of Batman and Paul Dano as The Riddler in the Warner Bros-DC Comic flick.

The pre-production of the film is expected to commence this summer. No official start date have been announced so far although reports state that the film could begin late in 2019 or early 2020. 'The Batman' is scheduled to hit the screens on June 25, 2021. American actor Ben Affleck had quit as Batman following 'Justice League' in 2017. Dylan Clark will be the producer of the film.
