Fast and Furious 9 is a 2021 American action-adventure film starring original Fast 9 cast of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges among ors. ninth edition of franchise was released for Asian diaspora on May 19 and was greeted with heavy box office numbers. movie begins with a flashback of Dom's far, Jack Toretto out in field, waiting to hit track alongside Kenny Linder. Dom's younger self and his little bror Jacob were also present in flashback, helping ir far fix something under car hood. At that time, Dom had warned his bror about a puddle of oil on track but his remarks seemed to be igred. Moments later, race begins and it is seen that Linder is getting aggressive on road after hearing news that Toretto is getting promoted to next season while he isn't. In a moment of r, Linder cuts Toretto from back, making his car roll over puddle of oil and crashing into a fence at full speed. car combusts and Jack dies on spot. Dom tries to save his far but is dragged away by or team members.

Fast forward to present, Dom looks forward to leading a peaceful life with Letty and ir son Brian in countryside when Roman Pierce, Tej Parker, and Ramsay visit family to confront m with some news. y reveal that y had caught a distress signal from Mr body who was referring to some ‘valuable cargo.’ What is worrisome about this incident was that plane from which signal was sent had previously carried Cipher and helped her escape before, presumably, crashing somewhere in rthwestern part of Montequinto. team collectively decides to find Mr. body but Dom refuses to go with him. Letty, on or hand, reveals that she's done with quiet life and is seeking adventure, reby implying that she's joining team.

team leaves for mission as Dom stays at home with his son. Dom decides to watch video foot once again when he tices Toretto’s family cross on neck of attacker and realises that attacker could be his younger bror, Jacob. As a result, he has choice but to flow down Middle East too. team arrives at crash site in Montequinto and discover plane but as y scavenge through it, y realise that Mr body is where to be found. Jacob, who was at crash site all along, tices that Letty has dropped an item that belongs to team and steals it.

Upon realising matter at hand, team chase after him but to avail. item is revealed to be one of two components of Project Ares. Since it is w under Jacob's possession, Cipher breaks into system of Mr. body’s ncy and finds out location of second component, which is  city of Edinburgh. Alongside this plot, ar flashback emerges and finally answers all questions about Dom's relationship with his younger bror. In flashback, it is revealed that Dom finds out his bror had accidentally killed ir far and as a way to punish him, Dom kicks Jacob out of family. ir relationship n functions on mutual hatred, thus revealing why Jacob came into picture as an enemy after so long.

To follow Jacob and procure item from him, Dom sets up a meeting with Buddy, a friend of Toretto family who gives him a lead that latter might be in London. He also expresses that he hopes for brors to reunite and make peace with history. And as every film under  Fast and Furious franchise goes, this movie, too, rides high on brorhood and reignites lost relationship. brors toger team up to procure stolen items from Cipher and make peace, with Dom gifting his bror his 1970 Dodge Charger 500 to escape. In final sequence, Dom and his son arrive at racing track where his far had died in flashback, bidding him a final goodbye.
