HBO’s much-acclaimed show Game of Thrones h always been quite unpredictable, even when it comes to its actors. But exit of actor Ian McElhinney, who portrayed role of Ser Barristan Selmy in series, was very shocking for viewers. In series, Ser Barristan bread his last in fifth season as he was killed during a battle with a gang of rebels from Mereen. However, as per books, this was t supposed to be end for Ser Barristan.

During an interview with a news portal, Ian McElhinney revealed that he h re book and sudden leaving was a shock. He furr said that one must t re books because he re book and thought that he h a lot of screen time and was looking forward to it. And while he was anticipating his roles, Ian got his dates from his nt and he started comparing his dates to book and it did t tally. Ian said that if y were going by book n he h to be in it for a number of weeks.

actor revealed that he even spoke to showrunners DB Weiss and David Benioff about it. He asked m if y were writing him out. showrunners n told him that his time was up in series. And Ian n took m by a surprise and told m that he also alrey knew about it. Ian ded that he was very disappointed with how his character was treated.

Playboys actor said that even though he was disappointed, he accepted that demands of televisions are very different compared to a book.
