HBO has announced a Game Of Thrones prequel titled House Of The Dragon. The series will be based on George R.R. Martin’s book Fire and Blood. This prequel is different from the one that was announced previously. The prequel from Jane Goldman, starring Oscar-nominee Naomi Watts, has been shelved. The story of the series House Of The Dragon is set 300 years prior to the events of Game Of Thrones. As the name suggests, the series will tell the story of House Targaryen.

The prequel that has been cancelled had faced several unfortunate circumstances during the shoot and post-production in Northern Ireland. However, House Of The Dragon will act as a spin-off to Game Of Thrones. There is no information regarding the release date of House Of The Dragon but there’s a catch. The series has been sanctioned with 10 episodes. It was reported that the series will premiere and first air on HBO Max, which is set to launch in May 2020 in the US. HBO posted this official picture of the series.
Miguel and Ryan roped in for the series
It looks like Miguel, Ryan, and George will deliver another interesting story with this one. What fascinates the audience about the GoT show is its gruesome barbarity and the unique story. While Condal is new to the Game Of Thrones universe, Miguel has been involved in some of the grand episodes of Game Of Thrones like ‘Hardhome,’ ‘Battle of the Bastards,’ ‘The Winds of Winter,’ and ‘The Long Night.’

Fire and Blood is among the first two volumes of the history of House Targaryen. The second volume is yet to be released. The novel involves Targaryens and tells the appalling tale of Aegon I and his conquest of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. Targaryen succession is also one of the imperative parts of the story.
