Speaking to New York Post in a wide-ranging interview, Hill explained: "As we saw with Bran and Three-Eyed Raven, spiral pattern was sacred to Children of Forest, who created Night King by sacrificing a captured man in a spiral 'henge of stones'." Night King n opted symbol as a sort of blasphemy, like Satan with upside-down cross."
We’ve seen omius-looking sigil numerous times before. In season seven, episode four, titled ' Spoils of War', Jon shows Daenerys carvings on walls of caves beneath Dragonstone. y were inscribed re by Children of Forest and represent period in which y united with First Men, despite both factions being at war for centuries, to defeat White Walkers.
We also saw symbol in very first episode when Night’s Watch came across a group of Wildlings who h been slaughtered by White Walkers.
