Out of Past actor and star of Hollywood's Golden , Kirk Douglas passed away at of 103. News of Spartacus actor's death was anunced by his son Michael Douglas in an Instagram post on February 5. Hollywood's golden era actor was minated for Oscars based on roles he portrayed in three of his films i.e. Champion, B and Beautiful and Lust for Life. actor also served in World War II from 1941-1944.

"It is with tremendous sness that my brors and I anunce that Kirk Douglas left us today at of 103. To world, he was a legend, an actor from golden of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose commitment to justice and causes he believed in setting a standard for all of us to aspire to," his son said

"But to me and my brors Joel and Peter he was simply D, to Carine, a wonderful far-in-law, to his grandchildren and great-grandchild ir loving grandfar, and to his wife Anne, a wonderful husband," statement furr re.

"Kirk's life was well-lived, and he leaves a legacy in film that will endure for generations to come, and a history as a rewned philanthropist who worked to aid public and bring peace to planet. Let me end with words I told him on his last birthday and which will always remain true. D- I love you so much and I am so proud to be your son," he concluded.

Hollywood's Golden Era actor

Kirk Douglas was born to Russian-Jewish immigrants and me his movie debut with a 1946 film titled Strange Love of Martha Ivers before gaining popularity for his role in Out of Past. He furr went on to star in films such as I Walk Alone, Vikings, Paths of Glory, Spartacus, Lonely are brave etc. His production house, Bryna Productions played an important role in developing two of his greatest films Paths of Glory and Spartacus both helmed by Stanley Kubrick.

In year 1981, he received a Presidential Medal of Freedom by Jimmy Carter. Kirk Douglas me his final silver screen appearance in a 2004 drama movie titled Illusion and last appeared in a 2009 atrical production titled Before I Forget at Culver atre, California.
