In an interview with Insider, Home Alone director Chris Columbus revealed that Donald Trump ‘bullied’ his way into a cameo appearance in sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. When asked about Trump’s cameo in 1992 movie, Columbus admitted that he had to get permission from Trump, owner of Plaza Hotel to shoot in lobby. Columbus said that y couldn’t recreate extravagant lobby with a soundst, as a real-life hotel lobby was a crucial part of movie.

Agreeing to request of director, Trump came up with a condition saying that only way director could use Plaza was if he was in movie. When movie was screened for first time, Columbus revealed that people cheered when Trump showed up on screen and that was oddest thing that happened. Columbus while speaking to his editor commented, “Leave him in movie. It’s a moment for audience,” but he ultimately bullied his way into movie.

In scene, Trump plays Kevin wandering through lobby in need of directions. In sequel, Columbus found ar way to make concept of cameo character Kevin work again for his fans. In Home Alone 2, Kevin is seen mistakenly boarding wrong plane at airport. And rar joining his family in Florida, he ends up alone in New York City. movie Home Alone completed 30 years of release this vember. movies are a Christmas favourites for many fans globally and fans are erly waiting for a reboot of Home Alone which is currently on way from Disney.
